KB0051: Registration Code not Recognized -TimeVue / TimeSource
Solution:
In certain situations, the software will not recognize your registration code after the software has been upgraded or installed. This may cause the software to run in Demo mode (limit of 5 employees has been reached). In order to resolve this issue, you need to copy a file from the CD to the TimeSource or TimeVue directory on your hard drive. Here are the steps:
If you have TimeSource:
- Load the TimeSource CD in the CD drive. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the ROOT of the installation CD.
- Click on the overlay.cab file to select it.
- Right mouse click and select copy.
- Browse to the TsourceV7 directory on the C: drive. The default location is C:\Program Files\TsourceV7.
- Double click on the TsourceV7 folder so that it is selected.
- Right mouse click and select paste. This should copy the overlay.cab file into this directory. Verify that the file has been copied.
- Highlight the newly copied overlay.cab file, right mouse click, and select properties.
- If present, remove the READ ONLY attribute at the bottom of the properties screen. Click Apply and Ok to close the properties window.
- Open the TimeSource program again and enter your registration code.
If you have TimeVue:
- Load the TimeVue CD in the CD drive. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the ROOT of the installation CD.
- Click on the overlay.cab file to select it.
- Right mouse click and select copy.
- Browse to the TimeVue directory on the C: drive. The default location is C:\Program Files\Icon Time Systems\TimeVue.
- Double click on the TimeVue folder so that it is selected.
- Open the TimeVue program again and enter your registration code.
