KB0101: Show Weekly Hours at the Time Clock – TimeVue / TimeSource

Solution:

In order to display the weekly hours that an employee has worked at the time clock, follow the procedure below:

For TimeVue Lite:

1. Go to each Employee screen and enable the showing of hours by selecting that Icon in the Employee Details section.
2. Go to the Time Clocks screen and select the Reset All Clocks Icon from the tool bar at the top of this screen.
3. In order for the weekly hours to display on the clock when the employee clocks IN, poll all of your clocks 2 consecutive times before the beginning of each shift.

For TimeVue Full:

1. Go to each Employee screen and select the Report Hours option in the Messages section at the bottom of this screen.
2. Follow steps 2 and 3 above.

For TimeSource Lite:

1. Go to each Employee screen and enable the showing of hours by selecting the Show Hours check box.
2. Go to the Edit Clocks screen and select the Reset All Clocks Icon at the top of this screen.
3. In order for the weekly hours to display on the clock when the employee clocks IN, poll all of your clocks 2 consecutive times before the beginning of each shift.

For TimeSource Full:

1. Go to each Employee screen and select the Report Hours option in the Messages section at the bottom of this screen.
2. Follow steps 2 and 3 above.

NOTE: The software calculates the weekly hours. The first polling downloads the latest punches, the sofware calculates the weekly hours, and the second polling sends the weekly hours to the clock to be displayed. The time clock cannot total hours for the current shift when the employee clocks Out for the current shift.

NOTE: If you have installed the Auto-poll upgrade, make sure you schedule the clock to poll two times before the employee clocks IN for the next shift.

NOTE: You cannot display weekly hours on a HandPunch clock.
